The University of Strathclyde is pleased to offer Herbert Smith Freehills Entente Cordiale Scholarships in Law for 2016. These scholarships are available to French students for pursuing Masters degree programme at a British university.
Scholarships help to fund an LLM programme for a period of 12 months maximum in a British university. The main objective of the university is to provide high quality, comprehensive educational and training opportunities that are compatible to changing needs of the students.

Study Subject: Herbert Smith Freehills is offering one scholarship to French students wishing to study law full-time at Masters level (LLM) in a British university for the academic year 2015-2016 in the fields listed below: Business law; International banking and finance law; Intellectual property/technology,; media and communications law; Labour law; Energy and infrastructure; Litigation and international arbitration; Tax law and Property law.
Scholarship Award: The scholarship can help to fund an LLM programme for a period of 12 months maximum in a British university. The scholarship is awarded for one year only and is not renewable, and must concern studies in the disciplines listed above. The scholarship of 10 000 Euros helps contribution towards funding applicants studies.

Eligibility: To be eligible, applicant must fulfill the following criteria:
-As the scholarship is Franco-British, you must have either French nationality or have completed your higher education in France to bac+4.
-You need to have an academic level of bac+4 in one of the areas of law mentioned in the list above.
-You need to have an excellent level of English : most universities require a minimum score of 6.5 at the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) test for studies at postgraduate level.
-You need to be intending to pursue a whole year of full-time study in the UK.
-You need to provide evidence of an excellent academic level and show ambition to become influential in your area of study.
Nationality: Students from France can apply for this scholarship. (Applicants must have either French nationality or have completed their higher education in France to bac+4).
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: Applicant should have a first class or 2:1 honours degree (Law/Accounting/ Finance/Banking). Entry may also be possible with relevant professional qualifications.
English language Requirements: The university accepts a number of English language tests as proof of proficiency in English. IELTS is the most widely available, and our current standard requirements are: IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no individual band less than 5.5).

-Proof of applicants identity (photocopy of ID card, passport).
-Academic transcripts of all diplomas since baccalauréat.

-Two reference letters (one English and one French).
-Offer letter from a British university or proof that their application has been made.
-CV and covering letter in French.
-Proof of their level of English (IELTS, TOEFL, CCI diplomas).
