The Department of Knowledge-Based Mathematical Systems (FLLL) at the Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU) is offering a position for an experienced researcher, Junior as well as Senior. These are open for Austrian citizens to carry out project “Industrial Methods for Process Analytical Chemistry”.

The main objective of the position is to provide high quality, comprehensive educational and training opportunities that are compatible to changing needs of the students.

The Johannes Kepler University Linz is a public institution of higher education in Austria. It is located in Linz, the capital of Upper Austria. It offers bachelor’s, master’s, diploma and doctoral degrees in business, engineering, law, science, and social sciences.

The proof of language proficiency in German and/or English (level B2 or higher of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is required at JKU.

Course Level: Position is available to pursue research programme.

Study Subject: The employment is carried out within the project “Industrial Methods for Process Analytical Chemistry”.

List of Subjects: Statistical and data-driven modeling with a specific emphasis on advanced Chemometrics for the supervision of industrial processes.

Scholarship Award: The minimum gross salary is 37751 Euro per year for junior researchers, for a full-time employment of 40 hours a week. The actual salary depends on the qualification of the applicant.

Eligibility:-University is looking for candidates interested in joining international and interdisciplinary team of experienced researchers in the fields of soft computing, machine learning, data- and knowledge-based modeling collaborating with national and international companies, research institutions and research partners.
-Applicants should preferably have a completed master in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Mechatronics, and should have sufficient prior experience in soft computing and/or machine learning techniques and/or statistical modeling; knowledge in Chemometrics is warmly welcome. They expect willingness for preparing publications in international journals and conferences. A working permission for the EU is requested.

Nationality: Applicants from Austria are eligible to apply.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicants should preferably have a completed master in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Mechatronics.

Test Requirement: No
