The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) is pleased to offer Chancellor’s Fellowship Program for graduate students. This program is available for qualified Emiratis who desire to pursue studies at the University.
Scholarship’s mission includes the preparation of graduates for future leadership and one of their goals is to prepare graduates to be pioneers in their areas of specialization.
United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) is the first and foremost comprehensive national university in the United Arab Emirates.
Students need to demonstrate that they have a good level of written and spoken English.
Course Level: Fellowship is available to pursue graduate studies at the University.
Study Subject: Fellowship is awarded for studying multiple subjects.
Scholarship Award: The benefits of the Chancellor’s Graduate Student Fellowship Program are as follows:
First Category: Full-time Emirati employees of the UAEU
Candidates in this category will be offered a partial tuition waiver of 20% of the total cost of tuition.
Second Category: Emirati Nationals at-large
Candidates in this category will be offered a partial tuition waiver of 15% of the total cost of tuition.
Scholarship can be taken at: UAE
Eligibility: The candidate must meet the following conditions:
-Be an Emirati National,
-Be enrolled in a graduate degree program at UAEU,
-Be in good academic standing (cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher),
-Have completed a minimum of one year of study in a Graduate program and has earned a minimum of 12 graduate credits; and
-Not be sponsored by an employer or any other organization.
Nationality: Emirati nationals can apply for this fellowship program.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicants must be in good academic standing (cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher).
Test Requirement: No
English Language Requirement: Students need to demonstrate that they have a good level of written and spoken English.
Supporting Material: Application package must include the following:
-Completed application form;
-Identity documents as required for Emirati students (copies of passport and Khulasat Al-Qaid) and international students (copy of passport).
-Two certified copies of official transcripts from all Colleges or universities attended (the applicant must arrange for these to be sent directly to the Office of the Assistant Dean of the relevant College);
-An official copy of the applicant’s score on the IELTS exam or equivalent (the applicant must arrange for this to be sent directly to the Office of the Assistant Dean of the respective College); and
-Two letters of recommendation from professionals familiar with the student’s academic work.
How to Apply: To apply, complete a “Chancellor Graduate Student Fellowship Application Form” and submit it to the College of Graduate Studies in person or via email by sending a signed, scanned copy of the form to cgs-at-uaeu.ac.ae.
Application Deadline: Applications are due by the end of the second week of classes of the Fall and Spring semesters. The deadline for Fall 2016 Admission is 15th May 2016.
