Applications are invited for Nuffield Farming Scholarships open to Australian Primary Producers. These scholarships give Australian citizens the opportunity to study farming practices in New Zealand, Europe, Asia and the Americas and those countries best suited to the Scholar.
Nuffield Australia awards Scholarships each year to farmers in Australia. The objective is to increase practical farming knowledge and management skills and techniques generally.
The Nuffield Australia Farming Scholars is a non-profit organisation administered professionally but supported in the main by voluntary contributions made by its members.
Applicants engaged in farming or fishing as an owner or manager or an active member of a farming business can apply.
Course Level: Scholarships for awarded to Australian Primary Producers.
Study Subject: Scholarships are available to study farming practices.
Scholarship Award: An allowance of $A30,000.00 will be provided. However, Nuffield will withhold $5,000.00 of this as an assurance on the submission of an approved report. Scholars will pay for costs associated with the National Conference, GFP and report presentations from the $A30,000.00 bursary. Nuffield may withhold funds at its discretion to cover these costs. Scholars acknowledge that their expenses may ultimately be greater than the bursary, especially if multiple overseas trips are required, exchange rates are unfavourable, or if partners/family decide to accompany them. Scholars will personally cover all out-of-pocket additional expenses.
Scholarship can be taken at: New Zealand, Europe, Asia and the Americas and those countries best suited to the Scholar
Eligibility: The Scholarships are open to men and women, who are:
-Between 28-40 years of age. (Nuffield understands that there may be people outside this age range who would benefit from the Scholarship experience. Nuffield encourage them to apply);
-Ordinarily a resident of Australia;
-Engaged in farming or fishing as an owner or manager or an active member of a farming business; and
-Intending to remain involved in primary production in Australia.
Nationality: Applicants from Australia can apply for these scholarships.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicants engaged in farming or fishing as an owner or manager or an active member of a farming business can apply.
Supporting Material: Completed applications must be submitted, along with an electronic high–resolution portrait photo (minimum size 1MB) suitable for media releases and promotion (to be used if selected for a Nuffield Scholarship), to enquiries-at-nuffield.com.au
