Graduate Scholarships in History and Related Subjects at College of Europe, 2018

The European Civilization Chair at the Natolin Campus offers scholarships annually to graduates in History and related subjects who wish to follow the postgraduate programme in European Interdisciplinary Studies during the 2018-2019 academic year.

The aim of the scholarships is to encourage the graduate study of History and related subjects.

The College of Europe is an independent university institute of postgraduate European studies with the main campus in Bruges, Belgium.

Scholarship Description:

• Application Deadline: January 17, 2018
• Course Level: These scholarships are available to pursue a master degree.
• Study Subject: These scholarships are awarded in History, International Relations, Political Science, Sociology, Area Studies, Geography, Philosophy, History of Art, Theology, Classics, Modern Languages and Literature.
• Scholarship Award: The holders of these scholarships will be entered automatically for the major in European History and Civilization. They will be required to write their Master’s Thesis on a topic relating to European history and/or European civilization, approved by the Chairholder.

• Eligible Countries:  Applicants from any country are eligible for these scholarships.
• Entrance Requirements: All applicants to the College of Europe must hold a relevant university degree.
• English Language Requirements: Applicants must meet following language requirements:

2. University of Cambridge
3. TOEFL
4. TOEIC

• Interest in and experience with EU and Transatlantic Affairs (max 600 words) – for MATA applicants only!
• Names and e-mail addresses of 2 professors (who taught you at university and can assess your performance) in order for you to send a reference request to them via the online application system
• CV in Europass format
• Copy of your university degree(s) – document(s) in the original language and translation into English or French (if you are not yet in possession of your final degree, please send it by email as soon as it is available)
• Transcript from your University, Faculty, School, detailing results for every year of your studies and grades obtained – document(s) in the original language and translation into English or French
• Passport or national identity card
• Passport photo
