Technical University of Berlin is inviting application for PhD position open to German citizens. Applicant will work on research project “Processing, microstructure evolution and mechanical properties (under quasi-static and cyclic loading) of Mg-SiC nanocomposites”.
The aim of the PhD Position is to enable and encourage academically able students.
This is a research university located in Berlin, Germany and one of the largest and most prestigious research and education institutions in Germany.
Candidates should have an excellent knowledge of the English language and excellent communication skills.
Course Level: Position is available to prepare for PhD thesis.
Study Subject: The main focus of the PhD thesis is to synthesis and study fatigue behavior of Mg-SiCn nanocomposites. The Mg-SiCn nanocomposite is synthesized and characterized structurally. The correlation between the quasi-static and cyclic properties of the produced Mg-SiCn nanocomposites and microstructure will be studied.

Scholarship can be taken at: Germany
Eligibility: A skilled and experienced person with specialization in metallic materials or composites to conduct a part of the research project as doctoral researcher is needed. Excellent knowledge of mechanical properties measurements (strength, fatigue…) and structure-property relationships is required; The Successful candidate should have completed a university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) in Mechanical, Material Engineering or material science.
Nationality: German citizens can apply for this position.
